Talk about the ultimate release for Record Store Day: The Flaming Lips have brought the A-Team of indie and alternative music (plus a few others) to a full on, Flaming Lips massive called Heady Fwends. The Lips are obviously a favorite of fans and musicians alike, so it makes sense that they can lure in great names to work with them ... especially with Wayne Coyne giving everyone short burst videos on Twitter of the band working in the studio. If you're on the Wayne Coyne Twitter, you might have seen videos or photos of some of the names below.
Heady Fwends has a release date of April 21st, a.k.a. Record Store Day. Names on the collaboration include Prefuse 73, Nick Cave, Neon Indian, Chris Martin (yes, THAT Chris Martin), Bon Iver, Ke$ha and Biz Markie and more. Check out the full list below. ALSO: Don't forget that they're releasing ANOTHER RSD split 7" with Mastadon, in which each band takes a pass at the Flaming Lips song "A Spoonful Weighs A Ton."
