Vinyl freaks will love the fact that Domino Records is about to issue a set of Flexi discs of singles from Dirty Projectors, Real Estate, Cass McCombs, John Maus and Villagers; all as part of the Smuggler's Way series. It's a compilation publication of artwork and written words from Domino & Ribbon artists, the Flexi discs are just an extension of Smuggler's Way to bring something to listen to while perusing the magazine. It's like a web site, only organic and offline! Preview the John Maus track "No Title (Molly)" here.

It is a fun throwback to the days of coming home from the record store and listening to new music while looking through the album art. Smuggler's Way highlights include written words from Real Estate, Clinic, James Yorkston, Laura Marling (and more); art from The Kills, Twin Sister, Lower Dens (and more); you can check out the whole thing in the Smuggler's Way video preview above. Props on what looks like a great design from Rob Carmichael at SEEN and Bjorn Copeland of Black Dice.

“The individual Flexi discs, all different colors, fit snuggly in the back pocket of the zine, which is 7.5" x 7.5." The entire package will be contained in a self-sealing poly bag suitable for travel to a record player of your choosing,” reads the announcement from Domino Records.
