Friday night’s Jack White webcast was broadcast as a livestream via YouTube, which means ARCHIVED JACK WHITE WEBCAST. Missed it? Check it out in full, above. Jack White played with both bands (he’s touring with two bands, one all men, the other all women), and the focus of each is different: the men tended to rock out more and the women played more subtle music, with a bigger country influence.
Gary Oldman came in to run the webcast show (check out 5 videos with Jack White and Gary Oldman), and he remarked about how he casually jumped at the chance to run the show from behind the scenes: “It just fell from the sky. Occasionally you get calls and they just drop in. I didn’t have to think very quickly about it. I just said, ‘Yeah, that sounds very good,’ ” said Gary Oldman to the NY Times about his chance to direct the webcast. The new Jack White album Blunderbuss was released last week, check his recent performance on German TV, or the Jack White video for “Sixteen Saltines” or “Love Interruption.”
