| Check out the new Soundgarden video for “Live to Rise.” The song sounds like the Louder Than Love-era part of the Soundarden discography -- thick and lively and more of a return to their roots than the big, bombastic Soundgarden machine that took over as Grunge moved from a mainstream big recording label phenomenon to post-phase, big sounding metal. I'm thinking of Soundgarden songs like “Gun” and “Loud Love” when I hear this. Which might show a part of what a new Soundgarden album might sound like, which the band has said will come to life if the magic happens. They released Soundgarden Live on I5 last year.
