The new single from Redd Kross, "Researching the Blues," off of the album of the same name. They signed with Merge Records earlier this month and will release a new album on August 7th. Red Kross invaded LA in the 1980’s with a fresh and energetic sound based on punk music and post-punk sounds, and played alongside Black Flag and other bands as the LA punk scene grew into what was later called "alternative music" in the 1980’s. Still, the band is more excited about what they’re doing right now. “It [Researching the Blues] has the most singular artistic vision of any record we’ve done. It’s just 10 really fucking awesome songs that have the ability to move you in many different ways,” said Steven McDonald when talking about Researching the Blues.
