The Walkmen will do a live stream webcast of their Bowery Ballroom show from New York via Spotify ... signs of good things to come if Spotify gets into the live stream business. It's a premium show for free, as a live stream, and is part of an effort to get the word out about the new Walkmen album Heaven that was released today.

The Walkmen have picked some big partners to do a live stream webcast of their show at New York's Bowery Ballroom on June 6. The show will be streamed live via Spotify, but also filmed by La Blogotheque, who has brought us all of those great video performances via their "Take Away Show" series of web-based video performances. Should you choose to to actually get off of the web and GO to the show in person (a novel idea, I know) tickets will go to the first 150 people to buy the new Walkmen album Heaven at Other Music. For the rest of us, Walkmen Bowery Ballroom tickets go on sale on Friday, June 1st (a.k.a. this Friday.) Check out our review of Heaven and check in on Spotify on June 6th for a premium show, for free ... and it's available worldwide for ALL Spotify users, not just the Spotify premium peeps or the Spotify iPad app users.

Are you going to the show, or listening on Spotify?
