The Helio Sequence are counting down the days to the release date to their new album Negotiations, which will be released on Sept. 11 via Sub Pop Records. A tour is forthcoming, as for now they have a show scheduled for the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival in Seattle. The video above shows The Helio Sequence in the studio, working out the details. It's a new studio that they found after the last one flooded with water, leaving the Portland-based band in search of a new place to record. "After three months of searching, Summers and Weikel settled into a 1500-square-foot, former breakroom-cafeteria in an old warehouse. They no longer had to work their recording schedule around loud rehearsals by neighboring bands, but were free to create late into the night in uninterrupted seclusion. With twice the square footage, the space also had room for more gear, a lot more gear. They decided to use this opportunity to try something different," reads the announcement from Sub Pop Records. It should be fun to see how the new studio vibe plays out on Negotiations.
