MP3 "resale" site ReDigi just launched an Artist Syndication Program that lets artists benefit from the reselling of their MP3 files. Redigi will cut artists 20% of the transaction fee.
 
Free the sample from persecution! The Hood Internet are releasing their first album of completely original material in September, titled FEAT. It's no small feat when it includes appearances from AC NewMan (New Pornographers), Tobacco (Black Moth Super Rainbow), Actress and Hooray for Earth. Just to be contrarian, check out their cover of "Back on the Chain Gang" by the Pretenders.
 
Explosions In the Sky are creating the film score to David Gordon Green’s comedy Prince Avalanche. He told Consequence of Sound in an interview “We will be scoring his latest film Prince Avalanche. This particular picture is going to be exceptionally beautiful in that we’re making it with friends of ours.”
 
Lo-fi, laid back indie pop band Tennis are going on tour this Summer and have a new Vacationer remix of their song "Petition".
