The 2011 Austin Psych Fest documentary in all of its glory. The festival was held in a decommissioned steam power plant and included bands like A Place To Bury Strangers, Crystal Stilts, The Black Angels, Sleepy Sun, Roky Erickson and more. The video was directed by festival co-producer Oswald James, and there will be another documentary like this for the 2012 Austin Psych Fest, which took place in April. The festival organizers had this to say: “Alta Real Pictures & Oswald James (along with a huge team of contributing film crew) and Elevation Reservation captured the festival in audio and video once again this year and are diving into post production to create a new film and live album. We’re very excited to see the results and relive the fest.” There’s also next year to look forward to, they’ve already confirmed the 2013 Austin Psych Fest dates as April 26-28.
