|Soon after their highly successful debut of new music on Twitter, Blur have released a video of one of the songs from that performance “Under the Westway” in a live, in-studio video performance. Check out the full video of the Twitter performance here, and the two songs “Under the Westway” and “The Puritan” will be released as a single on Parlophone on Aug. 6. "The first of two new songs written by Blur especially for Hyde Park 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony Celebration Party. Blur debuted both songs live on Twitter On July 2nd 2012 to several global trends and this is the performance," said Blur on YouTube.
"Some days I feel one way and other days I feel the other. If you don’t see something as a career but as an important part of your life, you don’t know how you’re going to feel about it. We want to put on a great performance but nothing’s been said between us about the beginning or the end," said Damon Albarn when talking about the Blur reunion. It's one that's been underway as far back as 2007, when Blur drummer Dave Rowntree said that the band had returned to the studio to see what came to pass, saying "We have never split up. That tends to be the way albums start. That's how the last one started. We get together and either we say 'it's not the right time' or we say 'brilliant'.
