Toronto band Ten Kens (the band in which you buy one Ken and get nine for free) are getting ready to release a new album titled Namesake on Sept 4. The band is known for their own creative combination of noise-filled indie rock with punk leanings, and their new song "Bliss" (watch the video below) is a great example of that. There's a tension that builds throughout the song, but is never acted on. "The title of the album comes from the band moving away from their signature sound and exploring their dark psychedelic side that will truly capture your eyes and ears," reads the press release, suggesting a new creative spark for the band's evolution of sound. They set out on a path of working intensely in the studio to advance the band's sound. How do you think they did?
