Turbo Fruits have announced Fall headlining shows that coincide with the release of their album Butter (release date Sept. 11). Check out their new single “Harley Dollar Bill$,” which which was hard to write because "it’s hard to rhyme something with the word “motorcycle.” I was like, “maybe I don’t have to have “motorcycle” in the chorus, maybe I can throw it in the verse somewhere, so it starts with that word.” There aren’t too many songs out there with “motorcycle” in it because you can’t rhyme too much with it. So the chorus just has “ride away” in it."
Azure Ray have announced a new album called As Above So Below, which will be released on Sept 4 On Saddle Creek Records. “For As Above So Below, we wanted it to be more like Azure Ray in an alternate universe,” said Maria Taylor. Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie and Postal Service has announced plans for a new solo album called Former Lives this Fall, telling Stereogum "I’m a songwriter and that’s my job, and with every record that we’ve made there would always be a couple of tunes that just didn’t seem to fit in with the band. If people wanted to be dismissive of the record, they could just say “Oh these are leftovers,” but they’re really not."
