Crystal Stilts bring their own brand of noisy, jangly and fuzzy indie pop/psych to a new video of the band performing "Dark Eyes" at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. The video was done by Future Primitive Films and includes a combination of 8mm & HD, portraying the band in grainy footage against a giant backdrop with colorful projections of moving images and colors, alternating between close and far shots. The ending wanders out in droning keyboards and panning camera moves. Nice.
The song “Dark Eyes” is from the 2011 EP Radiant Door, a song that their label Sacred Bones said is a move to new sounds: “Dark Eyes may be their strongest song to date, unshackling them from their fuzzy reputation, which, even at its heaviest, could never obscure one from this bands dexterous song-craft.”
