Austin Music City faves Snowden are now on Serpents & Snakes Records, and will be releasing a new album titled No One In Control later this year. It's the follow up to the 2006 release Anti-Anti Lots of time has passed since then, so it'll be intersting to see where the new album ends up style-wise. Check out the new song "The Beat Comes" below.
The superbly curated Hardly Art recording label (offshoot of Sub Pop Records) is releasing the new Fergus & Geronimo album Funky Was the State of Affairs album on Aug. 7 and the late Summer tour is set, Hardly Art predicts " the titular duo is rounding up their kickass new live band for a string of dates this September with Sub Pop signees Jaill. Expect a face-meltingly good time."

In the meantime, load up on MP3s of their songs "No Parties" and "Roman Tick"

Scottish psychedelic / experimental band Django Django have signed to Ribbon Music and will release their new self-titled album on Sept. 25th, and they're touring the US in September. Check out their new video for the song "Hail Bop" which was released today and read the Spacelab Review of the bands own "Storm."
AC Newman announced a new album today with an-as-of-yet unnamed title, that's due via Matador Records in the US and Last Gang Records in Canada at an-as-of-yet to announced release date. There IS a Fall tour lined up, however, and tickets go on sale tomorrow.
