Listen to Sun Airway Mixtape #3 with Dirty Projectors, Boards of Canada, David Bowie, Four Tet and More (MP3)

The new Sun Airway album Soft Fall makes a hard landing in October on Dead Oceans, and in the run up to the album release Sun Airway mastermind Jon Barthmus has created a 25 minute mixtape and put it up on Soundcloud. I includes music from the new album juxtaposed against Dirty Projectors, Bill Fay, Boards of Canada, David Bowie, Four Tet, the xx, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Here We Go Magic. It all happens courtesy of SPIN. Meanwhile, Soft Fall happens on October 2nd, there's a tour lined up with M83, http://sunairway.com/tour and the press materials say that "the songs are hyper-saturated, bright and colorful, spilling from the speakers. They’re glistening, based on rich acoustic instruments and layered in synthetic sounds carried along on Barthmus’ perfect hooks." Sounds sunny alright.
