As promised, the Moogfest 2012 lineup was released today, with great music like the Primus 3D experience, Orbital, Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, Divine Fits, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Prefuse 73, Exitmusic and more in this year's show. It's a decidedly more electronic music-based lineup than some previous years, where the lineup focused on indie rock and more organic-sound type of bands. I guess Moogfest organizers have gotten rid if their guitars and bought turntables instead. Check out a complete Moogfest 2012 lineup in the Spacelab Festival Guide.

Moogfest tickets will go on sale this Friday, August 10 at Noon EST, you can hit the Moogfest web site at www.moogfest.com to buy tickets. Packages include general admission, weekend passes and VIP tickets, which will go for $65- $75, $100 - $145 and $250 respectively.

Moogfest honors Bob Moog, the creator of the Moog synthesizer, so there’s lots of Moog use at the festival. The entire Moogfest thing centers around artists that create “unique and groundbreaking musical experiences that embody the essence of Bob Moog’s visionary and creative spirit.”

Check out the Spacelab Festival Guide for more information on Moogfest and the Music Festival News page for 2012 festival updates.
