The new Soundgarden album may not have a name yet, but it now has a release date: November 13, according to guitarist Kim Thayil. This means new Soundgarden songs packaged up as a new album before the end of the year ... making a nice close to 2012. He let the release date fly in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying that it “re-establishes that we still rock, we’re still heavy, and we’re still a little weird.” He even dropped some new Soungarden song names: “A Thousand Days Before” and “Blood on the Valley Floor.”

It feels great. We have some cool new songs that we are going to record very soon." The picture above is of the band in the studio last year. So the next big question has to be ... when's the Soundgarden tour?
