The Creamfields Festival in Daresbury closed on Sunday due to "severe flooding." After a big Saturday Night rainfall, the festival decided that it wasn't safe to continue. Chief Inspector Bev Raistrick said: “We understand that some people are experiencing difficulty in getting home – a number of festival goers attended the event as part of an organized coach trip from other parts of the UK and will not be able to get back until tomorrow morning. Some festival goers have chosen to remain on the site tonight and head home tomorrow morning."
