Brooklyn indie pop band Here We Go Magic have released the new video for the song “Hard To Be Close,” off of their album A Different Ship. It was created by Nat Livingston Johnson & Gregory Mitnick of Peking, and includes Chuck Stern of NYC Public Access show Roboshithead.

The HWGM album A Different Ship includes the involvement of Nigel Godrich, a.k.a. The Radiohead Nigel Godrich of Radiohead producer fame (not to mention all of his other work). The band first crossed paths with Godrich at the Glastonbury Festival, # when the band noticed that crowd was subdued with a hangover, except for two people totally digging the music up in front. Who were they? Nigel Godrich and Thom Yorke.

"The crowd wasn't giving us much to work with, except for these two guys standing in front," Temple continues. "One of them was dancing around like a maniac and I was like, 'I'm just gonna play for those two guys. Then I realized, 'That's fucking Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich!'" This lead to a meetup after the show, and eventually Godrich and Here We Go Magic worked in Los Angeles on what has now become A Different Ship.
