The ever-prolific Robert Pollard is spending time in between Guided By Voices albums releasing more new solo material, this time in a new album called Jack Sells The Cow. He'll be releasing a new song for streaming each day (starting last Friday), so we'll have a chance to check out Jack Sells The Cow before its release date of Sept. 18. You can listen to the song "Up For All That" in the player above, and come back to check out more music as its released. Release materials for Jack Sells The Cow say "you have to imagine his relentless output is a less-than-calculated move — a smarter businessman would hold back product so as to build demand, but Robert Pollard has never been a businessman. He’s an artist, full stop ..."

He's also released "Who's Running My Ranch," which is available below. Weighing in at over 32 minutes, Jack Sells The Cow is Pollard's second solo album to be released this year (after Mouseman Cloud) as well as two Guided By Voices albums with Let’s Go Eat The Factory and Class Clown Spots A UFO. But there's more! Robert and GBV band member Tobin Sprout will also be part of an art exhibit happening on Oct. 5 - 6 at The Library is On Fire in Brooklyn.
