Mercury Music Prize Short List Announced with Django Django,

The shortlist for the 2012 Mercury Music Prize was announced today at The Hospital Club in London. In a ceremony hosted by Lauren Laverne, twelve artists were announced to compete for the £20,000 cash prize that will ultimately be revealed at the Roundhouse in London on Nov 1. Nominees for the Mercury Music Prize include Django Django, Field Music, Richard Hawley, The Maccabees and more. See the full list below.
