Check out the new Tame Impala today for the song "Elephant." They had an interesting preview video back in July that teased out the same song, and they're both tripped out throwbacks to the 60's, but this full video is great with it's brightly colored lighting and array spins. They're from the album Lonerism, which is due out on Modular Records on Oct. 9, and will be the band's first new album since Innerspeaker in 2010. Modular had this to say about the album: "'Apocalypse Dreams' was the first taste, a gastronomic delight for the ears. It's got that beloved Tame Impala swagger with a fresh coat of paint. First official single off the album will be 'Elephant' but till then keep in the Mayan frame of mind with 'Apocalypse Dreams'."

Tame Impala is the band was signed to Modular Records based on the music on their Myspace page (remember those?). In 2008 the joined the label and went on to release the psych-rock classic Innerspeaker.
