Grooveshark is doubling down on it's recent HTML5 site launch by going international. They've made their new browser-based app available globally, (with the exception of UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Brazil, and Canada). Grooveshark CEO Sam Tarantino told Spacelab in an interview that "We have a whole new spin on Grooveshark coming in the next few months. We can't say more, but suffice it to say that the biggest change to Grooveshark since we launched the original product in 2009 is coming." Things seem to be picking up for Grooveshark, who recently landed ten labels with the addition of Paper + Plastick, Warrior Records, 1320 Records, Bang Gang Records, Duckhead Green, Palaver Records, Amplifi Digital, Accendo Media, Dox Records, and Eponymous Entertainment. |
