|"Steve Mcqueen" is the next big single from post-shoegaze electronic act M83, and today they've released their new video for it. It arrives as part of a collaboration between French director Balthazar Auxietre and animator Sylvain Derosne, which was coordinated through Genero.tv. The single for "Steve Mcqueen" arrives on Nov. 27 from Mute Records.
The M83 album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming gets released this week on Mute Records, and the video for "Midnight City" has just been released. Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming features appearances from Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails), Zola Jesus and Brad Laner (Medicine) as well as Morgan Kibby.
"It's a double album. It's mainly about dreams, how every one is different, how you dream differently when you're a kid, a teenager, or an adult. If you're doing a very long album, all the songs need to be different and I think I've done that with this one. Overall, it's pop — and very epic. Anyone who loved M83 before, they'll love this album even more. People that hated me, they're going to hate this, too," said M83 main man Anthony Gonzales when speaking to SPIN about Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming.
