Listen to Parakeet - “Toumono” (stream)

For fans of dirty, scroungy, fuzzy indie rock. Parakeet scrounge up the kind of grunge-light pop song that seems to be making a resurgence these days with bands like DIIV. An interesting, sludgy pop gem though, from a band from London. It's no coincidence that they're touring with DIIV later this month. The song "Toumono" is a hair-width from demo-form, with it's low-tech production and lack of clear tracks, still ... it's sometimes interesting to catch a band on the way up before they OVERPRODUCE things.
