Seawolf gets away from the sea and goes to Salt Lake City in Utah (I'm going to resist the temptaion on the wolf metaphors, with the mountains in Utah and all) and plays a show at The Urban Lounge, which if you've been to Salt Lake City isn't super-urban but it sounds like it's in downtown SLC. Luckily, for anyone who's not there, a Seawolf live stream webcast is happening via GigViz at 9 PM MST.
The band has a sort of Southern California indie pop sound, creating quiet songs that reward you after repeated listening. The band is the vehicle of Alex Brown Church, but receives contributions from a long list of people. “I want to write happier songs, but they just don’t sound as good. Those are the hardest songs to write. Maybe it’s just my natural inclination to be a little dark,” Alex tells Black Book Mag.
