Listen to Crystal Castles - “Affection” (stream)

The much-anticipated Crystal Castles album III arrives soon (Nov. 12), and "Affection" is a song from the album. The song sets a strong electro-meets-beats tone, reminiscent of an 808 state drum machine. Singer Alice Glass remains subdued in the background with her vocals, and her "Affection" stays on a short leash with the song clocking in at just over two minutes. "We wanted the new album to sound like a completely different and new experience. We'd limit ourselves to one take on each song because we believe the first take is the rawest expression of an idea," said Ethan Kath.
