| France's Gregory Raimo (er, GR) is truly a moonage daydream, to quote Bowie. His music is far out in the sense that "out there" is quite a distance from where your eardrums currently reside. "Low-Born" is a new song from his forthcoming A Reverse Age (Mexican Summer) album and "damaged" might be a good word for the tune.
Kinda reminds me of The Residents if they stuck only to guitars and drums. This is a polyrhythmic nightmare ... It's tough to keep up with the beat and fury of the notes spilling out of the guitar. Definitely recommended for the speed freak rock fan that lives somewhere deep down inside us. Listen beware -- I'm curious to know how an entire album of this insanity would play. |
