In today's installment of where is the new My Bloody Valentine album, we have a new quote from band leader Kevin Shields, who assures us that it's ready, it's going to be an independent release available through the My Bloody Valentine web site, and there's an EP that will follow the full album.

"I think with this record, people who like us will immediately connect with something. Based on the very, very few people who’ve heard stuff – some engineers, the band, and that’s about it – some people think it’s stranger than 'Loveless'. I don’t. I feel like it really frees us up, and in the bigger picture it’s 100 per cent necessary," he told NME.

We've heard this before, and its becoming less a question of if and more a question of when. Kevin Shields spoke on this back in April, as well as September of last year, and many times before that. Let's hope it happens.
