Ian MacKaye has a long history in the roots of hardcore punk and thrash with his start in Minor Threat, before moving forward with his punk band Fugazi and his independent recording label Dischord Records. Few people have walked the fine line of punk integrity while becoming well known (READ: not secretively underground in a band no on has ever heard of) like he has. In his band The Evens with his wife Amy Farina, " the two confront what it means to be a grown-up punk: how to question authority while accepting adult responsibility" as NPR Music so aptly puts it.
