It's album release announcement day! In addition to Atoms for Peace and New Order, Cave Singers have dropped the bomb on their latest effort. The deets on the release state that the band wanted to capture its live vibe and bottle it on the record (who doesn't), plus worked the music over a ten month period before heading into the studio with Phil Elk at the helm. It's called Naomi, and will be released on Mar. 5 via Jagjaguwar. Check out the new track "Have To Pretend" below and let us know what you think in the comments.
The release says that "each song on Naomi functions like a chapter in a bigger story, addressing themes of the past. There are songs of addiction, car ownership, fireworks, tree houses, moving to New Mexico, and God, each shifting in all the ways that make life difficult and miraculous, astounding and beautiful."
