New music has arrived from Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, from his movie soundtrack for The Master, and it includes music with London Contemporary Orchestra, Ella Fitzgerald, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra and others. Greenwood has worked with director Paul Thomas Anderson on the movie soundtrack for There Will Be Blood, and that turned out incredible. The music from Greenwood here is largely symphonic and cinematic, so consider any Radiohead-esque sounds off the table, unless you consider songwriting styles applied to a whole new range of instruments and implementation.

Known for his detailed soundtrack writing, Greenwood goes deep down the rabbit hole to create sonic montages that do more than bring the movie to life. The press release says that it also includes "four recordings from the post–World War II era" plus anyone who pre-orders the album from Nonesuch Records will also get a download of the song "Application 45 Version 1." The Master movie soundtrack is due on Sept. 11.
