The middle east meets Berlin, Germany as the global scene lands at the Boiler Room in Berlin. Rabih Beaini a.k.a. Morphosis, who hails from Lebanon, drops massive sound as he launches into a one hour live set. "Run, Disco, Run" reads the slogan on his t-shirt -- truer words could not have been spoken. The music combines middle eastern influences and sounds with western beats for a globally-influenced sound: Influences like post-punk and krautrock and death metal go alongside dub, cerebral house and techno. If this ain't a melting pot, I don't know what is.
