The worst of all news for anyone who has seen the Flaming Lips play live ... the massive hands that Wayne Coyne wears that shoot lasers -- were stolen. The Flaming Lips were at the Southbound Festival in Australia over the weekend when Wayne Coyne took to Twitter (as he's been known to do from time to time) to spread the word.
So this all begs the question ... how do you sell a pair of giant hands with lasers in them? What is the thought process of anyone hoping to take them? It's not like they could just sell them like a guitar or other instrument, they're kind of unique. Eventually the hands were found, although it's unlear what happened to them in between.
