Big Data: Top Paid Music Subscriptions for Streaming Music Sites

*Big Data is a new feature from Spacelab that breaks down data for a deeper view of what the data means to us as music lovers or technology users. Look for more of this as we roll through 2013.

2012 was the year that streaming music sites emerged as a major happening on the web, with Spotify, Deezer and Pandora Radio all emerging or holding top spots in the number of paid subscribers, IE the people with monthly unlimited memberships. This makes 2013 a pivotal year in streaming music: some will continue to dominate (Spotify, Rhapsody and Pandora come to mind) while others have fallen or won't make the cut (the recent sale of MOG to Beats, for example). For our first Big Data issue of the year, here's a list of the top streaming music sites with paid subscribers, as compiled by independent research from Digital Music News.

What services do you use, and who do you think will make the cut or drop out of existence in 2013?
