Faded but not forgotten, Fonda are back from a decade of self-imposed exile with a new album and a new video for the song "Seeing Stars." This is what the post-MBV dream pop and shoegaze world has been missing - an edge. There's Ride influences here as well. It's amazing how a genre that's been around for over 20 years can still create fresh sounds.
Fonda had a heyday between 1998 and 2003, with the song “Crazy Love” and the evntual release of the album The Strange. About 2003, they wandered off into life -- jobs, kids, house payments (pick your favorite career-killer and fill in the blank here). At some point, they decided what was real and started making music again, which culminates in their new album, Sell Your Memories, due out next month on Minty Fresh.
