Yo La Tengo were on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night with Fred Armisen to perform the songs "Ohm" and "I'll Be Around" off of their new album Fade. It's the follow up to their album Popular Songs from 2009 and was produced by the band and John McEntire from Tortoise.
Check out a review of the album Fade from Spacelab writer Jeff Daily, who said "YLT sound like, shockingly, YLT. Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley, and James McNew haven't ever delivered a downright terrible record. Sometimes the guitars are more no-wave, sometimes the harmonies are a little softer, but for the most part Yo La Tengo are smart, talented, and self-aware rockers, who have about as good a grasp on music making as anyone of their generation."
