The long-awaited fan shot and crowdsourced Nine Inch Nails documentary [ after all is said and done ] has finally arrived, with both online and DVD versions available. You can watch it full above, or download the fully authorized and encouraged version via BitTorrent. The video is from the (then) final Nine Inch Nails show in 2009 in Los Angeles, as part of their “Wave Goodbye Tour.” This was of course before Trent Reznor decided to regenerate Nine Inch Nails, but hey, who cares? It's a free download!
It was done by A Tiny Little Dot, a group if NIN fans who include people who do this sort of a thing for a living, which includes: professional editors, audio engineers, motion graphics artists, colorists, web designers, blu-ray authors, content creators, artists, and technical consultants.
"As an intimate concert performed before only a handful of fans, what the performance lacks in huge stage production value, it makes up for in vitriol, raw energy and cramped quarters... with sentiment, emotion and intimacy. But what really shines a light on the brilliance of the performance is the manner in which it was captured. The fan-shot footage of AAISAD conveys a raw, visceral and kinetic energy that no professional camera could have ever hoped to achieve," they said in a statement released yesterday, along with the video release.
