Jim Eno From Spoon Just Started Public Hi-Fi Records

Jim Eno from Spoon has made a name for himself not only through his band but also for his recording chops and producing skills, working with bands like !!! and Telekinesis, among others from his home studio of the same name in Austin, Texas. He's decided to do the full monty and and do up a full recording label as an extension of that studio, and it's called Public Hi-Fi Records.

Eno even has a band ready to go to start the label off right -- it's Austin's own Dupree, who will release Nuestro Camino on Apr. 30. Studio geeks take note: the album was "recorded live in a single afternoon and laid directly to 2-track analog tape with no post mixing or overdubbing" according to a press release.
