Dan Deacon released a limited edition 7" single for Record Store Day, and it included the song "Konono Ripoff No. 1," which was just released as a video today. It's designed to work with ultra-cool Dan Deacon app, which you can download for free. His label Domino Records said that the video is "a snapshot, time capsule and video yearbook of the Baltimore scene rolled into one. Like many of Deacon's art project-as-music-videos, the cast is made up of the Baltimore arts community." GIF out on the new video above.
Both sides of the "Konono Ripoff No. 1" Record Store Day release are the same song, but Dan Deacon highlighted the drums by featuring two drummers on each track, but also in making the drummers different on each track: Kevin O'Meara and Jeremy Hyman on Side A and Denny Bowen and Dave Jacober on Side B. The song "Konono Ripoff No. 1" is from Dan's most recent album America which is out now on Domino Records.
