Post-rock band Explosions In The Sky will create the film score for a new movie from Director David Gordon Green. The film is called Prince Avalanche, and Explosions In The Sky worked with composer David Wingo from Ola Podrida on the music and sounds. The soundtrack has a release date of  Aug. 6 via Temporary Residence, check out the tracklist and film trailer below. The movie is out on Aug.9.

They made the announcement today, saying "Last year our good friend David gathered a small crew of people and wandered out into the woods of Bastrop, Texas to make a movie called Prince Avalanche. He then asked us to team up with our other good friend, who is also named David, to write the musical score. So we set up a makeshift recording studio in Munaf's living room and did just that. Over the course of a few weeks we wrote and recorded a pretty good amount of new music, and we're happy to announce that Temporary Residence will be releasing it all as a soundtrack album on July 16th. If you're interested in reading more about it, please go here (link to TRL page about the soundtrack). The movie itself comes out on August 9th, and we think you'll like it. It's funny and sad and odd and beautiful and we're honored to be a part of it."
