Drum n’ bass/Hip-Hop guy Rusko has signed on to Skrillex' OWSLA label for the release of his upcoming EP Lift Me Up on July 2nd. You can get in a free MP3 download of the song "Take Off" by heading over to the Rusko web site and offering a post on Facebook or Twitter in exchange for the download.

The announcement reads "Getting into the EP, the title track is Rusko’s signature combination of frantic BPM’s and melodies-meets-a slow, deep drop. “Murda Sound” pulls in elements of Hip-Hop, drum n’ bass, ragga and rave for a multi genre bomb, before RUSKO changes things up with the EP’s most beautiful track “Starlight feat. Claes Rosen.” It’s a gorgeous, classic drum n’ bass track that throws back to the genre’s 90’s heyday."

We've all heard of the music subscription by now, and Skrillex has doubled down on that idea by starting a subscription for his own recording label OWSLA through the popular service Drip.FM, which he launched at the end of last year. The OWSLA subscription service is called "The Nest," and goes for 12 bucks a month. Skrillex is the first to say that he's not out to change the world, just give more direct access to music. "This is not about changing the music industry now, it's about supporting great and forward thinking tools like Drip.fm to connect us on a more personal level.
