Jimmy Eat World was on Conan O'Brien last night, performing a bang on version of “We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together” with a lot of emotion and determination. The song is from the new Jimmy Eat World album iTunes Session and is a cover of the Taylor Swift song. The band also released a new album last month, called Damage, and they also performed the title track from the album.

They're better known as a post-alternative indie band than they are for their reinterpretations of Taylor Swift, although the impassioned performance of the song is what Jimmy Eat World is largely known for. Their new album Damage has been called "an attempt at making an adult breakup record" and the “We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together” together plays nicely into that context. Jimmy Eat world is currently on tour and will be playing shows through October.
