There’s a new Trentemøller album on the way. It’s called Lost, and will be released on Sept. 24th on In My Room. He has a ton of great collaborators on Lost, including Kazu Makino (Blonde Redhead), Jana Hunter (Lower Dens), Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes), and Low. The press release describes it as “the kind of record one can only produce after endless months of studio isolation, long nights invested in instrument experimentation, and trashed analog consoles. Though the Trentemøller sound is left intact, as a whole, this album doesn't sound like anything he's ever produced before.” Check out the “Never Stop Running” video.
“People might have wanted something similar to the last album, but if you get to the point where you're listening to what other people think your sound should be like...well, that's not for me,” adds Anders Trentemøller.
Checking out the Facebook page for In My Room, Anders Trentemøller’s imprint recording label, confirms that it’s happening and catches him with his feet up listening to the album, saying "..all tracks in the right order, for the first time. A bit weird but also quite satisfying feeling!"
