Apparat and Modeselektor ... like chocolate and peanut butter. Together they make Moderat, the electronic music innovators that are bringing us their next album, not so innovatively titled II. But who cares about the title? It's Moderat, baby!

To get things kicked off, they've lined up The Moderat Fog & Projection Experiment, a uStream experiment that does a live stream webcast from the Moderat website. According to Mute Records, it releases "fog into the Moderat live micro projection box and enjoy an audio snippet from II along with mesmerizing logo animations provided by Moderat's visual partner, Pfadfinderei."

It's already underway, but has limited hours ... from 3:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST.

The new Moderat album arrives on Aug. 6 on Modeselktor's own Monkytown Records, and of course they'll be playing shows for the release. Also check out the Moderat video for "Bad Kingdom" below, along with the staement from the band.

"We have known each other for 12 years now, and during that time we haven't really changed that much: We are still three guys mostly talking about hihats and tape machines while hanging out in the studio.

Moderat as a fusion of Modeselektor and Apparat is a mutual path that hasn't been and will never be easy. It's simply more than 'just' making music together. It is, again and again, an experiment of exploring our similarities and differences and interlacing them into something new and exciting."
