There's a reissue of the classic White Stripes album Elephant coming via Jack White's Third Man Records, and the release date is Aug. 27. From Hollywood movies to music industry reissues like the 20th anniversary reissue of Nirvana's In Utero, suddenly everything old is new again.
Not that the reissue is without added extras, such as 180 gram double black vinyl and bering remastered from the original analogue source, as well as "a double-gatefold, printed inner sleeves and an MP3 download card" according to Third Man Records. This reissue arrives after the limited edition Record Store Day release on colored vinyl.
TMR is also declaring a White Stripes manifesto of purity for all so-called fans: "We draw a firm line here… you can't consider yourself a White Stripes fan without this record on your record shelf."
