SoundCloud and Google have made it possible to embed SoundCloud sounds on their Google+ social network, the same way that YouTube videos can shown. This adds a nice touch, since before Google+ users would have to leave the Google+ environment to jump over to SoundCloud, now the user experience will improve and we'll all be able to catch new sounds via Google+. They launched it this week from the SoundCloud blog, although I have to admit I haven't seen many "in the wild" yet. They're kicking things off with the hashtags #soundcloudplus and #summersound to get things rolling. As a Google+ user, I can say that this is a rad and long overdue addition. This is the first third-party service to get in on the social network, so we'll hopefully see more of that in the coming months. Google claims that Google+ has 390 million monthly active users and 190 million active users in the stream. There are 500 million members overall. Last month, they also enabled SoundCloud users to sign in via their Google+ account.
