Spencer Krug is neck deep in his Moonface project, this time releasing a straight-up and straight-forward album of songwriting via his voice and the piano. The minimal approach goes meta on getting up close and personal with the music, as there's nowhere to turn but the song and its melody. The album is called Julia With Blue Jeans On, and arrives on Oct. 28/29 via Jagjaguwar Records, who offered this about how and why Spencer Krug left behind the approach used for Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown:

“Spencer Krug has stripped down his sound to just a piano and his voice, leaving the effects, overdubs, and electronic elements out. The new album, Julia with Blue Jeans On, is Krug’s self-described love record and displays an angle of Spencer’s music not heard before.”

Check out the advance single "Everyone is Noah, Everyone is the Ark” below, and get the full details at the Jagjaguwar website.
