Anyone who jumped on the Kurt Vile bandwagon in the past few years can get excited about a new music collaboration between Vile and Robert Robinson's Sore Eros. The EP is called Jamaica Plain (where it was recorded) and is also the name of the lead single.
The press materials say "The track proposes itself as a definitive piece of Americana rich in visual imagery," before also contemplating "the track acknowledges its modernity with the harmonious use of electronic instruments, such as the inspired use of drum machine." Sounds curious. The Jamaica Plain EP is out on Nov. 4 via Care In The Community Recordings.
