Kim Gordon has broken down her Body/Head music project with Bill Nace in an interview with the New York Times, who called it "root chords, drones, feedback and repeated patterns from two guitars. Hers in the left channel, his in the right. Surrounded by open space, without drums."

Kim told the interviewer “I wasn’t trained as a musician. But I did grow up listening to a lot of jazz records, and John Coltrane.” citing the Coltrane album Meditations as an inspiration before saying “you have a theme, and it falls apart, and then it comes back.”

Body/Head has embarked on a set of tour dates, which appears to be the first set of an unfolding tour schedule. Their debut album Coming Apart is due out on Matador Records this week, in the meantime check out their performance at the Noise Pop Music Festival in San Francisco earlier this year, along with performances from the Flaming Lips, Deerhunter and more.
